Jee Mains 2019 || NTA

Let me summarize the main points :

Changes :

1)It will be conducted by an independent body called NTA 
(National Testing Agency (Constituted only for purpose of conducting examinations hence can focus on quality,security etc.)) rather than CBSE .
2)It will only be conducted as CBT (computer based test) so option of giving offline mode has gone from 2019 onwards.
3)Student will have options to choose from different dates to take exam.(Online mode still had choices between two days last year but now it will be stretched to 7–8 days/options)
4)Standardization/Normalization will take place for different papers conducted (On different dates).

Purpose/Implications :

I think students who get very nervous will be greatly benefited by this decision . Some students take drop and prepare despite being from very poor financial back ground , some of these students crumble under the pressure of expectation on the day of examination , I am very happy for such students , as if they can finish their syllabus on time then they can appear tension free in January examination (As at the back of their mind they will have assurance that if they are unable to perform in first paper then they have still got second chance , hence with such a mentality they will be able to perform their best)In my opinion it will make conduction smooth and less error prone (For CBSE examination conduction was one of the works but for this body (NTA) examination conduction will be the only work,so they can not get away if they commit mistakes).Also it will reduce paper leaking incidences.For past couple of years there are many conceptual,typing etc. mistakes in JEE mains(reflects careless attitude) so by giving conduction to NTA hopefully such incidents will be rarity.For a student it is very crucial as time wastage in one question can cost his/her selection hence Career . So i guess trust of examination taking student will increase in correctness of the paper/question.As paper mode will be only CBT (Computer Based Test) and no pen and paper based paper , so in my opinion for next two/three years students from village schools will be at loss somewhat due to non-exposure to computers.Though government has made arrangements for the same but it will take time to bring all students to same level of exposure.Result making and its announcement will be prompt and smooth.
